Minutes:

MINUTES OF 3RD MEETING OF GREEN PARK SCHOOL TRUSTEES HELD AT GREAT RIFT VALLEY LODGE ON FRIDAY 14th APRIL 2006.

Present ; Jackson Olaka, Cherry Ritchie, Rosleyn Wootton, Alice Wangari, James Mwangi.
Apologies; Caroline Rune, Anthony Mbehelo

Confirmation of Minutes of 2nd Meeting of the Green Park School Trustees on 14th March 2006.
Proposed by Gill Marshall-Andrews, Seconded by Jackson Olaka.

Matters Arising
1. Accounts. Ledger fees have been waived by CFC Bank, Naivasha where our account is held.
2. Finance. 10,000 ksh held already in account. Deposited by Cherry. Money raised from her Charity Golf Day held at Great Rift Valley Golf Club.
Caroline Rune to send Cheque of 259,000 ksh for Cherry to pay into the Trust Account.
     3.TRUST for AFRICAN SCHOOLS will have a website.
     Four African Schools , of which Green Park School is one, to benefit         from this new UK Charity set up by Gill Marshall-Andrew.
     A Project Proposal Form for each school Trust will enable the Committee to discuss, commence and implement the next Project.
     The information will be made available on the Web to enable donors to see what projects are planned and the likely cost.

   4.Building
   The Committee discussed new projects and a new building was deemed of paramount importance. The existing premises are inadequate and unsuitable for the growing number of children. A permanent structure which will act as a Children's Centre and Pre Primary Educational Facility to be built as soon as feasible. Adequate toilets should be incorporated in this building.
A Meeting to be arranged with Palle and Caroline Rune with a view to land being made available for this simple building.

 5.Education
  Gill has new books available. Once they are in Green Park they will be stored in Palle's container until a library is established in the new building.
6.Brochure/Leaflet
The leaflet to be funded by the Heritage Group, and any shortfall to be made up by Gill.  The Leaflet to be produced by Gill, assisted by her son,  in UK.

7.Fund Raising
 Funds need to be raised for the cost of transporting Gill's books.
 The Leaflet is part of the Marketing Strategy to attract new donors.
 Jackson will host a Fund Raising Dinner at Great Rift Valley Lodge.
 Cherry will try and arrange another Charity Golf Day.


Any Other Business
James Mwangi to
a. Arrange for hard standing to be laid between the present premises. Money has already been set aside for Maintenance, at the Meeting of 14th March 2006. The hard standing will cost approx 20,000 ksh.
b. Organize tables and stools to be made for the school
4 tables at a cost of 950 ksh each, and 15 stools at a cost of  300 ksh each.
