Minutes:

MINUTES OF 5TH MEETING OF GREEN PARK SCHOOL TRUSTEES HELD AT GREAT RIFT VALLEY LODGE ON TUESDAY 20TH JUNE 2006.

Present; Cherry Ritchie ,Roselyn Wootton,  James Mwangi, Alice Wangari, Anthony Mbehelo.
Apologies; Caroline Rune, Jackson  Olaka. Gill Marshall- Andrews.

Confirmation of Minutes of 4th Meeting of the Green Park School Trustees on 16th May 2006.
Proposed by Rosleyn Wootton, Seconded by Anthony Mbehelo.

Matters Arising
1. Appointment of new Trustees. The Committee unanimously voted and elected David Morgan and Lee Ngugi to be additional Trustees.
     
      2. Accounts;  The Board of Trustees has cashed 30,000 ksh for the cost of  materials for the building works ie  the hard standing, being laid  between the school premises.
So far we have spent 29,930 ksh  for materials. Upto today 20th June we owe 7,920 ksh for workers and 600 ksh  for Fundi's . 20,000 ksh will be cashed to cover the cost of finishing the project, and this should be completed by the 21st June.

    3.School Equipment.
Materials for cupboards have already been purchased and they are progressing well. Books for the Library are awaiting arrival.
Solar Panels to run the Security Lights and TV. Cherry will ask David Muchiri for an estimate. Anthony will also get an estimate via the Lodge's contacts. Security  of the panels will implemented. The TV will be used solely for Educational purposes.
Mattresses. Anthony will talk to Andy Muir about  hotel mattresses no longer in use. Waterproof covers are essential .

   4.Project Proposal. The Trustees identified various areas of need  .A  Proposal Form gave the Committee the chance to discuss and identify Projects to be commenced  and  implemented next. This will be placed on the Web.
 
  AOB.
Jackson as Chairman and James Mwangi  as a Trustee and well established ' friend of the School' will have a meeting with the parents of the school children . This will enable them to give the parents information  about  the work of the Trustees  for the benefit of their children.
Books left at the lodge will be assessed  for use at the school.

Date of next meeting.  Wednesday 13th September at 4pm at the Lodge Conference Room.
