Minutes from Trustees Meeting

Minutes of a meeting at Eburru Primary School on 11 November 2015.
Present:  Gordon Strevens, Gill Marshall-Andrews, Mr Kalanja (HT) and Gatere (contractor)

School update:KCPE exams were in progress with external invigilators.  68 students sitting the exams, 34 boys and 34 girls. All students not sitting the exam have been sent home.The results will be known early January.
There are now 5 TSC teachers, 4 of whom are male.  The Board of Management ie the parents, fund a further 8 teachers.The library seemed in good repair,  Catherine Mathenge the English teacher is in charge of this.  The TV is working but there are few DVDs available.
 It was agreed that a list of suitable DVDs be given to Gordon as a proposal for funding.

The new classroom block was discussed. 2.6m total cost. Gatere is ready to start.  The site will be cleared by the school.  Drawings will be emailed to GMA and Mathenge the MP who is co-funding the block. A payment schedule was agreed and Gordon will bring a cheque for 30% to the school on Monday.

Judy Williams can no longer be a trustee or signatory on the account so a new person will be sought to assist Gordon.

POST MEETING NOTE:  Clifford Dann has commented on the drawings and asked for some amendments which have been agreed by Mathenge and Gatere.
