GREEN PARK ECD CHILDRENS’ VIST TO LAKE BOGORIA NATIONAL RESERVE (Baringo County)
This is one of impressive days the kids of Green Park ECD experienced. The journey kicked off
early in the morning to be precise 8:30 am on December 15, 2015. With smiles on their faces waiting
very excited for journey ahead. It was well organized having the bus arriving in time and food courtesy
of the Lodge, package in place. It was quite a stimulating voyage through out.
It was a fascinating trip for the kids which gave them a titan chance to see phenomenal
hot springs, great kudus which are a rare race of antelopes found only in Baringo in the whole
world. There were monkeys and eye catching flamingos. This was also there chance to see
closely vast agricultural land and cattle keeping. The kids were accompanied by three adults (1
teacher, 1 staff and 1 parent representative) and 30 kids in number. They did not only enjoy the
expedition but also the delicious food. Apparently, they had a story to tell because it was mindboggling
trip.
This trip was made possible through the Trust for African Schools (TAS) Fund under Gill Marshall
Andrews, Roselyn Wotton and Kate Fjastad. The coordination on the ground is done by none other
than Rev. Stanley Amukoa, the Staff Welfare Manager, who also oversees the running of the school.
This is the second trip by the Green Park ECD Children this year; the first one having been in the first
quarter of 2015 where the children visited the NATIONAL MUSEUM OF KENYA.
Thank you very much Trust for Africa School for putting smiles of the small angel faces not
forgetting the company in particular Rev Stanley Amukoa who worked cumber less to make this
trip a success.
