TRUSTEE MEETING HELD ON 23/4/2016

VENUE: IN CLASS 6 ROOM KASELUNI PRIMARY

MEMBERS PRESENT

INTRODUCTION

The meeting was started by a word of prayer from Margaret Munanie.

Opening remarks. Since Kaseluni primary school is a new school, it has many problems and needs that has forced the local trustees to meet and plan for the school accordingly. Chairman requested members to be free to contribute during the meeting since this was a very important meeting.

MIN 2/23/4/2016

Members acknowledged completion of the VIP toilets and commended good work of the contractor. They agreed the toilets should be kept clean all the time and teacher on duty should check this. Children should be trained on how to keep the toilets clean.

Members also noted due to bank problem the contractor has not been cleared his payment though he has completed the work.

MIN. 3/23/4/2016: WORK PLAN FOR THE SCHOOL

After long discussion members came up with a list of projects to be undertaken in the school. They further divided the school projects into big (major) and the small (minor) projects to ease the implementation of the projects within the school. The projects are in priority form.

BIG (MAJOR) PROJECTS LIST

1.     Already constructed 6 latrines within the school

2.     8 classrooms constriction

3.     School compound fencing/gate by posts and barbed wire.

4.     Source of water to the school (borehole)

5.     School lighting project

6.     Employment of teachers to the school to improve school mean score

7.     Library (reading centres) building

8.     Girls dometry building  

9.     Boys dometry building

10.            Teachers quarters

11.            Kitchen and dinning hall building

We will welcome any advice or addition or any alteration  from our key stakeholders if need be. During the supervision and inspection of projects and advisory comments from our partner   TAS/KWS stakeholder will be helpful to us all.

SMALL PROJECTS

During the meeting we listed below projects as small projects.

1.     Learning and teaching materials and textbooks

2.     School shades/bandas

3.     Educational days

4.     Tour to different destination within the country

5.     Information technology improvement, computers, Television, DVD, (CDs) installation in school.

6.     Bench making

7.     Games/sports equipment

8.     Store for keeping test books, cupboards and shelves

9.     Notice board

10.            School furniture like desks, tables and seats.

11.            Farming kids (green house) tent

12.            Tree planting and flower garden

13.            2 support staff-non teaching staff

The meeting ended without no other business at 11.46am by a word of prayer from Margaret Munanie.
