Minutes from Trustees Meeting
28/01/2019

Present:

Minutes:
Notes of a meeting at Asako Primary School on 28 January 2019

Present:
Thomas Rigoti D/H, Ishmael Fodho Solola, Stephen Kameti, Gill Marshall-Andrews.
School update:
The school now has 317 students on roll and 8 TSC teachers. This is very good in comparison to other nearby schools but there are no women on the staff. GMA agreed to write to TSC to request that a female teacher be posted.
The previous HT has now left and the new one is due to arrive tomorrow.
There are 12 staff now living in the staff quarters and they are supposed to have been paying 300 /- per month each since July excluding November and December when the schools are on holiday. This would mean that there should be around 14,000kes in the maintenance account at end of 2018. No evidence of this was produced and GMA re-iterated that no further projects would be considered until the fund was properly established and all staff were paying regularly.
The girls dormitory is not yet full despite it being available to Primary and secondary students. It is expected that more will enroll soon.
GMA presented the TAS Child Protection policy which was discussed.  All members of staff will sign the Code of Conduct and SK will collect the signed forms.
