School update:
6 children took the KCPE in 2019 and all went on to
secondary school. This was the first
year the school entered students for the exam. The mean score was 194.
In 2020 there are no entries . There were 2 in last year’s standard 7 but
they have been held back and will repeat standard 7 this year.
Numbers on roll are as follows: G/B
Class 1 4/19
Class 2 5/12
Class 3 4/8
Class 4 2/13
Class 5 1/8
Class 6 5/6
Class 7 2/7.
ECD 25 children.
Facilities/resources
The government solar panels on the ECD building are not
working. The county has promised to
remedy this but the school must wait till this is done before acquiring the
TV/DVD that has been funded.
The story books are a great success.
The teachers asked for more wall charts/maps/science
kits/sports equipment and will put together proposals for these items.
Education day
The school is organising an Education Day –TAS funded- to
encourage the parents to send children to school. It is hoped that this will also raise awareness
of the importance of education and
encourage parents to help fund another teacher.
