School update:

The school continues to grow.  The number on roll now is 701  (366 boys and 336 girls).  That includes 90 in Classes 7 and 8 (Junior Secondary)

The mean score continues to improve.

MS 2022  254.

MS 2023  272.  This is a very good result compared to other schools in the region.

There are very few boarders so far this year (7 girls and 4 boys) but HT expects that more will be brought in by KWS and the mining contractors.

The new secondary school which has 2 classrooms and is situated a few kilometres away is expected to have its first intake of Year 10 students in 2026.  Secondary Schools will then have only 3 year groups, 10/11/12.

Projects for funding:

·         Staff trip

*       Staff housing

·        2 classrooms

·        Educational trip for 90 JS students

·        Books and resources for JS

·        Benchmarking for JS with Precious Moments Primary

·        Sports equipment

·        Mobile lab to help deliver the science curriculum,  part of the cost may be shared with other schools.

GMA explained that it would not be possible to fund all these projects so there is a need to prioritise.
