| Boka girls get their dormitory

The girls at Boka Primary School now have their dormitory. We hope this means they will stay on at school and take their KCPE exam. So far no girl has ever got beyond Standard 6 in the school despite that fact that the numbers of boys and girls are almost even in Standard 1.The girls start leaving when they are 10 or 11 and by the age of 13 there are none left.
The girls who stay in the dormitory will be supervised by a matron and will be able to study in the evenings because the classrooms now have solar power. |
