In Jararhara Primary School on the north side of the Tana River the school has an active conservation club. Here the children are planting trees and covering them with thorn branches to protect them from goats. Also shown is the new kitchen put up by TAS which includes energy efficient jikos to reduce the quantity of wood needed to cook the children's lunch. The adjacent building is the old kitchen. |
