More tree planting - even without a secure fence!
03/05/2019

Asako Primary School has begun a tree planting programme even though their fence is not secure.  The school now has water piped from the Tana River - thanks to TAS and Kenya Wildlife Service.  But the fence around the compound put up by the parents some years ago is disintegrating which means that the trees are not protected from passing cows, camels and donkeys.   The children are 'adopting' particular trees and doing their best to protect them so time will tell if their efforts are successful.  In due course the school may apply for funding for a good quality fence which will protect the school compound on a permanent basis.
