On Tuesday 12 September 2006 the Asako Primary School Trust was established. Nine trustees signed up- 4 from the school and local community, 5 from Nairobi and elsewhere.
The non-local trustees flew to the village airstrip and the inaugural meeting took place in one of the classrooms. The trust deed and project management system were explained and agreed. The headteacher and board of governors of the school will meet and identify some project proposals for funding. These will be considered at the next meeting of the trust on 11 October.
