Cooking in Eburru
20/09/2006
Three wonderful cooking pots have transformed mealtimes at Eburru School. Cooking for 120 students at lunchtime used to be done over open fires in a dirty smoke filled room using huge amounts of wood taken from the local forest. Now, a kitchen has been built to house the new cookers and the food is cooked in a clean and efficient environment. The wood pile that used to last 2 months is now expected to last 2 years! A brilliant investment! |
