TAS has funded 2 female teachers at Asako school and their arrival in January has boosted the girl enrollement in school from 175 in November to 212 in March.
Some of the girls commented:
'The two new teachers are really helping us. We are now able to cover our topics in good time'. 'Its easier now with female teachers. I like them'. 'its good having two lady teachers as we can ask them personal questions and they can help us. We are happy'.
This trend will be monitored and we hope to see more girls completing their primary education and going on to secondary school.
