The Hon Ali Wario MP for the Asako constituency attended the recent meeting of the Asako Primary School Trust and expressed his support for Trustees' work.
He was accompanied by officials from the Regional Education Department who are now actively supporting the school staff as they prepare proposals for funding.
The next proposals are likely to be for staff accommodation - so teachers can bring their families to the village and are are not absent so frequently, -metal doors and windows for classrooms so the termites cant damage them, inservice training, and curriculum resources.
Trustees are also trying to find a way to improve communications. Without mobile phones or radios it is impossible to get a message, even an urgent one, to the school.
