Madogo Secondary School in Garissa Kenya and Waldegrave School for Girls in Twickenham UK have been successful in establishing a Global Schools Partnership under the auspices of DfID.
Letters have been exchanged by headteachers, staff and students and plans made for joint curriculum projects. Waldegrave pupils have sent over 80 specially printed T shirts to Madogo students depicting their lives and the people, places and objects that are important to them.
The first stage is to arrange for 2 Madogo teachers to visit Waldegrave - probably in April - and then for a return visit by Waldegrave teachers. There is much excitement at both schools about this project.
