Running water to Usueni
13/01/2012
No longer do the girls of Usueni School have to walk 3 km to the Tana River to fetch water in plastic containers. Now the water has been piped all the way to the school so tanks on site can be filled. This makes a huge difference to the students and will enable them to start a garden to grow vegetable for their own consumption. It also means they can have showers and keep the school clean. It is extremely hot in the this area and the availability of water is of very great significance to the whole school community. |
